TV3 desperate to book Louis Walsh for Ireland’s Got Talent – despite his HUGE fee

TV3 bosses are eager to book Louis Walsh for the first series of Ireland’s Got Talent – but his huge fee may be too much for the station.

Last minute negotiations with the X Factor judge are underway, but bosses are hoping for a confirmation ahead of Wednesday’s schedule launch at the National Concert Hall.

However, Louis is reportedly asking for a massive €200,000 fee – which would be one of the largest amounts TV3 has ever paid a star.

“TV3 is desperate to get a big name on board for the first series of the show,” an insider told The Herald. “It wants to make a big impact with the new programme.”

Money talks: TV3 may have to dish out €200k to book Louis | VIPIRELAND.COM

“Louis has the space in his schedule to do it but, as everyone knows, he doesn’t come cheap and it’s unclear if the broadcaster has the budget to afford him. Having said that, it is very keen to make the new show a success and prove that it can pull in the big-name stars for it.”

Louis is also set to appear on The X Factor UK’s judging panel once again, thanks to a €1.1million pay cheque.

However, The X Factor comes to an end in December – and Ireland’s Got Talent is expected to have a six-week run in Janaury, which means Louis definitely has time for the gig.

Over the weekend, it was reported that Denise van Outen, Jason Byrne and Michelle Visage were set for the judging panel, while Lucy Kennedy will host the series.
