Today FM has suffered a loss in listeners across the board in latest JNLR report.

The latest JNLR listenership figures for the 12 months to the end of December 2024 have been released, reporting that over 3.4million adults are listening to Irish radio every day.

Today FM now has 953,000 listeners tuning in each week which is a decrease in 19,000 listeners from the last report three months ago.

Today FM also reported a daily reach of 475,000, which is a 8,000 decrease since the last report.

The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show now has 202,000 listeners, a -7,000 decrease from the last report tuning in each morning, with the show continuing to be the most listened to show on Today FM.

Dave Moore on Today FM now entertains an audience of 197,000 listeners a 11,000 decrease since the last report.

Louise Cantillon

The ever-popular radio host, TV personality and Gaelgoir Louise Cantillon continues to entertain a sizeable audience of Today FM lunchtime listeners, with 121,000 tuning in, a decrease of 8,000 listeners since the last report.

Ray Foley on Today FM now holds an afternoon audience of 164,000 listeners, a decrease in 5,000 since the last report three months ago, but a 1,000 increase since the last yearly report.

The Last Word with Matt Cooper has been busy with extensive coverage of the General Election, US Presidential Election and Inauguration and the drive time show has remained steady with an audience of 167,000 since the latest report.

Paula MacSweeney in the evenings entertains an audience of 32,000, a decrease of 4,000 since the last report.

Today FM’s new bespoke evening shows including genres such as Today FM Country, Today FM Chilled and Today FM Soundtracks now hold a late-night audience of 7,000, a 1,000 decrease in listeners since the last report.

Weekend Breakfast with Alison Curtis continues to entertain a sizeable audience with 157,000 tuning in on Sunday mornings, which is an increase of 7,000 listeners since the last report.

This month, Today FM will announce the return of its flagship charity campaign – The Big Busk for Focus Ireland. The campaign has raised over €1million for vital homelessness services to date and this year the station and its listeners are looking to do even more to raise vital funds for Focus Ireland with busking events taking place nationwide on March 7th.
