Baz Ashmawy’s new show Wingman has gone down a treat with viewers.
The new series, which aired on RTE this weekend, follows Baz helping three separate people with a personal project.
In the first episode viewers met rural farmer Jimmy Byrne from Louth, who wanted to put on a two-man show about two lonely farmers.
The series quickly became the top trend on Twitter, with viewers saying it was “honest” and “raw”.
Take a look at the reactions:

#Wingman ????????♂️ it had it all, didn’t it?!?
The most important part tho, be a friend.
Sometimes above everything else, you just need a mate who understands empathy versus sympathy.. @bazashmawy encompassing it brilliantly …
Also, I’m emotionally drained! pic.twitter.com/6dbhBB86Qv

Very few Dublin media people could have managed this show without appearing sneery & patronising to the country person. But @bazashmawy has genuine emotional intelligence & empathy. ????#Wingman
