This Is Where You’ll Find The Best Gin In Ireland

If you’re in love with Gin just as much as we are, look no further because we can reveal where you’ll find the best G&T in Ireland….

The Irish Gin & Tonic Fest ran across Ireland from  June 26 – July 1, and now the best Gin in the country has been revealed.

A whopping 227 venues entered the competition and each of them created their own bespoke gin and tonic creations, including 1 of the 15 Irish Gin’s that were on board.

After counting the hundreds of votes, the festival have officially announced that An Púcán on 11 Forster Street, Eyre Square, Galway are this year’s winners.

Their custom Irish Gin & Tonic was made with none other than Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin from The Shed Distillery in Leitrim. To that, they added a dash of fresh red chilli and mango, topped off with Fever Tree Indian Tonic Water.

Doug Leddin, from An Púcán commented on the victory:

“We are absolutely delighted that we have won at An Púcán. In the last year we have really worked hard to establish ourselves in the Gin Market and we are delighted to see our customers enjoying high-quality premium Irish Gins.”

Patrick Rigney, from Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin also added:

“It’s wonderful to see Connacht’s first ever gin, as made in Drumshanbo Co. Leitrim, voted as Ireland’s favourite Gin & Tonic in another Connacht county. An Púcán’s presentation of the Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, chilli and mango serve is absolutely stunning.”

I think a trip to The West is in order!
