As 2019 comes to a close, Google has released a break-down of all the things that were searched on their platform throughout the year.
From celebrities, to movies, to questions such as “How to…” and “What is…”, the company revealed global and local statistics.
The most Googled celebrity in Ireland was our very own Shane Lowry.
The golfer won the Open Championship in November, and he also appeared on the Late Late Toy Show to surprise a young fan with VIP tickets to see him play at the Irish Open in 2020.
Other stars making the list include Gay Byrne, Katie Taylor, Caitlyn Jenner and Love Island’s Tommy Fury.

When it came to the most searched globally, American footballer Antonio Brown topped the list of celebrity searches.
Meanwhile, Jordyn Woods came in 10th following her infamous falling out with the Kardashian-Jenner’s – after she kissed Khloe Kardashian’s boyfriend at the time, Tristan Thompson.
