The late Brendan Grace’s legacy helps Multiple Sclerosis sufferer

Comedian Brendan Grace has helped a young man suffering with Multiple Sclerosis from beyond the grave.

The iconic Irish performer’s mobility scooter has been donated to Limerick man Leon O’Connor, an aspiring animator.

Brendan’s daughter Amanda told the Irish Sunday Mirror: “Dad had brought the scooter home from America a few years ago and it had become redundant in the house.”

“I remember my mom saying ‘I would love to find somebody who needs that.'”

“I had seen Leon’s fundraiser online and so I contacted his mother Valerie.”

“She came to visit us, saw the scooter, charged it up and brought it into Leon to surprise him.”

The scooter has made a huge difference in the 22-year-old college student’s life.

“He was thrilled to see it,” Amanda said.

“His life has changed since as he wasn’t able to go to college anymore.”

“He has it all pimped up and flying around Limerick and is delighted with life.”

Brendan passed away in July of this year following a short battle with Lung Cancer.
