Bressie brought the Ironmind Triathlon to his native Mullingar on Saturday and enlisted some celebrity support.
The Blizzards frontman and mental health advocate suited up for the gruelling course at Belvedere House and Gardens and 2FM DJ Eoghan was present to cheer on his pal.
The Ironmind Triathlon follows on from Bressie’s Ironmind documentary, which aired on RTE last year.

After many people were inspired by race ambassadors Colm, Jade, Orla and Mark, A Lust for Life decided to set up a triathlon for those who were interested in taking part in the race but wary about going up against veteran competitors.
Ironmind was Bressie’s first show about mental health and it was a huge success with viewers, with hundreds of people taking to Twitter to congratulate the musician on his work.

The documentary focused on anxiety and depression, and showed Bressie and other affected dealing with mental health issues and using exercise to help overcome issues.
#IronMind became the top trend on Twitter during the show, with viewers saying it was one of the best things they have watched on Irish TV and many admitting they were in tears during the programme.
