Terrie McEvoy has shared a small glimpse of the awful messages she’s received on social media since becoming a mother.
The popular influencer welcomed her first child, a daughter named Sydney, with her husband David Fitzpatrick in November.
Since giving birth to their baby girl, the 31-year-old has been inundated with nasty comments online.
From people criticising her parenting skills, to slating her daughter’s name – Terrie has had enough of the online abuse.
Taking to Instagram today, the mother-of-one shared screenshots of some of the messages, and said her DMs were a “crazy place”.
One person called her “trash” and accused her of being unvaccinated, and another commented: “What a sin to name the child Sydney jesus christ.”
In a separate post, Terrie wrote: “Sorry I never usually give these people air time. What I’ve shared recently has been very very mild compared to some of the messages l’ve received during my first few weeks as a Mum.”
“I am absolutely fine and have an incredible support system around me so I, my family and friends laugh most of these crazy messages off,” she continued.
“Its like water off a ducks back at this stage. I know I’m doing my level best and a bloody good job at raising our little beauty so far. That’s all that matters!”
“But I just want to highlight that although a new Mum might look like she’s doing ok she could be struggling. So please go easy on her, keep your opinions to yourself and just be kind!” Terrie wrote.
“To all the new mamas out these who feel like peoples opinions are getting in on you- IGNORE!”
“Once you’re doing your best and what you feel works for you then you’re doing an incredible job!! Sending the biggest hug and love! Hang in there Mama xxx,” she added.
Terrie married her longtime love David Fitzpatrick in a stunning ceremony in Portugal in September 2019.

Announcing the birth of their daughter in November, Terrie shared black-and-white photos from the hospital, and wrote: “The beginning of the rest of our lives 🤍✨.”
“Our hearts are ready to burst with love and gratitude 🤍 Welcome to the world baby girl 🌊🤍✨.”
Terrie later told her followers that Sydney was born three weeks early due to complications.
