Strictly Come Dancing bosses have hired Kai Widdrington to appear on this year’s series as a professional dancer.
The news comes after RTÉ cancelled the 2021 series of Dancing With The Stars, which Kai has worked on since 2017.
According to The Sun Online, Kai will take part in group dances on the upcoming series of Strictly.
A source said: “There are more female than male pro dancers this year, so Kai has been lined up to even up the numbers and take part in the big numbers at the start of the show.”
“He’s fitting in well – he knows a lot of the show’s cast already – and has been in rehearsals all week,” the insider added.
As he prepares for the show, Kai has been living with seasoned Strictly pro Giovanni Pernice in South West London.
Kai joined RTÉ’s Dancing With The Stars back in 2017, and made the final with Irish model Grainne Gallanagh earlier this year.
