The Irish singer took to social media yesterday morning to announce to her followers that today she is due to go under the knife.
The Nothing Compares 2 UÂ singer up-dated her status to say, “Tomorrow I’m having surgery performed by a robot!”

The singer has shared a number of worrying posts in the past. And judging by the numerous comments on her Facebook page her latest status update is a cause for concern for her fans, with a few well wishers posting that they “hope all goes well.”
The 49 year old singer has sparked concern in the past with her alarming updates after she allegedly posted a possible suicide note on her page last year.
The mother of four rose to fame in the late 1980s with her debut album The Lion and the Cobra.
