Sile Seoige feels ‘sexier’ than ever now that she’s pregnant

Sile Seoige has opened up about her body insecurities as a young woman, but says she feels more confident than ever now that she’s pregnant.

Speaking to RSVP magazine, the 38-year-old TV star admitted that she was “riddled with insecurities” when she was younger – but revealed that she feels “so sexy” now, despite being “bigger than I have been in my entire life”.

“I think I am confident now but I was riddled with insecurities when I was younger. This is where pregnancy is interesting: in some ways I am hugely confident with my body, I am bigger than I have been in my entire life yet I feel so sexy with it at times, which is mental.

“But on the flip side I can feel so vulnerable when the clothes don’t fit,” she admitted.

Sile also revealed that her weight gain during her pregnancy hasn’t gone unnoticed – but it doesn’t bother her in the slightest.

“I have put on a lot, but I weighed myself early in the first trimester and I nearly dropped dead so I threw the weighing scales out in the shed and there they are going to stay. I refuse to weigh myself now, I just know I am size large.”

The presenter also revealed that she is planning a drug-free labour for the birth of her first child in the coming months.

The Seoige sister, who is over seven months pregnant, is prepping to use hypnobirthing techniques instead of opting for an epidural.

“It is a really simple and effective method of self hypnosis and relaxation.

“These are tools you can learn to ease yourself into a lovely, empowering labour that in theory, if you apply all the techniques and everything goes the way it should, and you trust your body, that you would do it without any pain relief. Instead of feeling fear, you would feel joy about the experience.”

The Spideal native has said that while she would prefer a natural birth, she is prepared for all outcomes.

“I am a big believer in the fact that you have no control over this, any mother who has had a baby will say that you have no control how your child will come into the world.”

“They will decide. I would work towards it but I will also let go of any preconceptions I may have on the day. Whatever happens, happens and I won’t beat myself up either, but I would like to work towards it,” she added.
