Sienna Miller gushes about Ireland – and County Cork in particular

Sienna Miller has gushed about The Emerald Isle, and in particular, County Cork.

The starlet expressed her love for Cork while chatting with RTE’s Today with Maura and Daithi show along with director James Gray.

“Cork is stunning. Ballymaloe – I really want to go,” she said referring to Darina Allen’s famous cookery school.

“I’ve been to the hotel but I really want to do a cooking course.”

Director James Gray is also a huge fan of the city, “My family and I travelled to Ireland several years back and we thought it was one of the most beautiful spots on earth. We love Ireland.

“Cork is magnificent. It is stunning. I’m not just saying that – off the record Cork is unbelievable, Ireland is unbelievable.”

James and Sienna worked together on the film The Lost City of Z, where Sienna plays Nina the wife of true-life explorer Percy Fawcett who disappeared in the Amazon while searching for a mysterious city in the 1920s, a role she lobbied for.

“I was really interested in working with James and we first met for this about seven years ago. We worked really, really hard to ensure she wasn’t just a wife.

“She’s very independent, very modern, and she’s brave and she’s just a character I loved.”
