Al Porter shocked the crowd at The Olympia on Thursday night, as he made a surprise appearance at David McSavage’s gig.

The shamed comedian, who has remained out of the public eye since allegations of inappropriate behaviour were made against him, was seated in a box above the stage during David’s gig.

According to the Irish Sun, David turned the audience’s attention to Al by saying, “Al Porter is no Harvey Weinstein or Kevin Spacey” and added that the 25-year-old has gone through “enough s***”.

“We all have to explore our sexuality when we are young. How can we know a boundary until we’ve crossed it?”

David then pointed up to Al in a box above stage and asked, “Have you learned your lesson Al?”

In shocking scenes, Al stood up in the private box and was seen mouthing “Yes” in response.

As the audience cheered, David went on to say, “We all have to learn lessons when we are Al’s age. This guy is younger than my eldest child. I’m telling you, in this case the punishment should fit the crime and Al Porter has been punished enough.”

Although David appeared to defend his pal, he went on to add, “You were a bit of a f****g eejit for a while alright with your TV and radio. Your head went up your own arse. No one heard from you, you gobshite.”
