Soccer star Sean St Ledger has publicly tried to woo girlfriend Faye Rooney back – after he was dumped by text.
The Irish player announced that things had bitterly ended with the Assets model after nearly a year together earlier this month.
Now the footballer has told her on Twitter: “You might not think so but I think of you so highly. Your one of them girls you can keep.”

It is the first response from the 29-year-old – who was also dropped recently from Leicester City – since he became single again.
Following the breakup, Faye jetted off to Portugal with her family to relax.
Earlier in the month Sean told his fans: “Sad to see you break up with me over text.” Before he deleted the message a number of fans stuck up for him.
One said: “That’s pretty low.” Another added: “Hope she put an x at the end.”

The couple had got together after engaging in a Twitter flirtation for some time, which saw Faye supporting him from the stands at a number of Irish games.
He also whisked her off to Dubai for a pre-Christmas break, but he wanted to keep it quiet by not mentioning their getaway online.
Previously, Sean has been linked to Nadia Forde and Desperate Scousewives star Layla Flaherty. He also had a fling with Dublin model Hayley Ryan – until she ran back to her ex James Chambers.
