Sarah Bolger set for international stardom as she lands TWO major roles

Sarah Bolger is set for worldwide fame, as she’s recently landed two major acting roles.

The Irish beauty made her acting debut in Jim Sheridan’s In America when she was just 12-years-old, and she’s since gone on to star in some huge productions, including AMC’s Into The Badlands.

However, the actress may have just landed the biggest role of her career as she’s been cast as the female lead in a spin-off of hit TV series Sons of Anarchy.

The spin-off is called Mayans MC, and it will tell the story of EZ Reyes, a member of a proud Latino family on the California/Mexican border. Sarah will play Emily, EZ’s childhood sweetheart who has since moved up in the world. The series will be directed by the creator of Sons of Anarchy.

Speaking about the new series, Sarah said, “I just think, after being such a fan of the show, it’s just an electric, brilliant new take on the motorcycle clubs. And with Mayans, I think audience members who love Sons of Anarchy are going to be happy. It’s just so good,” she told US fan site comicbook.com.

A pilot for Mayans MC will be filmed in Los Angeles next month.

Sarah’s success doesn’t stop there, however, as she’s also been cast to star in a crime thriller entitled A Good Woman is Hard to Find.

The film tells the story of a recently widowed young mother who will go to any lengths to protect her children as she looks for the truth behind her husband’s murder.

Meanwhile, Sarah is currently shooting Counterpart, a Starz’ upcoming spy thriller series that also stars J.K. Simmons.

This year she’ll also be seen in the comedy film Halal Daddy alongside Colm Meaney and Nikesh Patel, and her most recent screen credits include The Lazarus Effect, My All American and, of course, AMC’s Into The Badlands.

The second series of Into the Badlands, in which Sarah plays Jade, debuted on US television this week to promising reviews.

The action drama is set around a fantasy world where a warrior and his allies journey across hostile territory, and the entire series was relocated to Ireland for production and shot in Co Wicklow last autumn.
