Saoirse Ronan nominated for TWO Critics’ Choice Awards

Saoirse Ronan has been nominated for two Critics’ Choice Awards, which recognise achievement in TV and film.

The Carlow native has nabbed a nom for Best Actress for her role in Lady Bird, which has also been nominated for Best Movie, and she’s also been nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy for Lady Bird.

Daniel Day Lewis is also among the nominees, landing a nom for Best Actor for his role in Paul Thomas Anderson’s Phantom Thread.

Strengthening the Irish presence even further, Caitriona Balfe is nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her role in Outlander.

The winners will be revealed on January 11, 2018 at the award ceremony, which will be broadcast on US channel CW.
