“I saw a celebrity on cover of a magazine this week and she was completely naked on the cover and it was disgusting.

“It wasn’t in an artistic or creative way, I’m sure you’ll know who it is, she’s a TV personality, it was disgusting,” she added.

Speaking as an ambassador for Childline, Saoirse, 20, said there are a lot of pressure on children these days to be sexually active through pressure online and through celebrity culture.

“The pressure on children now to be sexualised from an early age is so intense, it pushes children to such a boundary, it pushes them to lash out as other children.

“I’ve seen it with relatives of mine. From what I’ve seen, I think there are lots of chats that kids have online.

“The media puts an awful lot of pressure on kids. Some kids are putting a lot of pressure on loosing their virginity really young,” she explained.

Saoirse went on to the Late Late Show to ask for help in funding the Childline service, which will be closed if they don’t receive €3.4 million.

“What I’ve realised as I’ve got older and looked back in retrospect, to have one person there to listen to you and believe you and not pass judgement on anything you say, is so important

“We’re going to make sure it’s always there 24/7,” she said.
