Ryan Tubridy shares his heartache over the death of Late Late Show colleague

Ryan Tubridy has shared his heartache over the death of his Late Late Show colleague Fiona Hurley.

The Irish presenter took to his Instagram Stories to pay tribute to his co-worker, who sadly died on Sunday.

Sharing a snap of him and Fiona on the set of The Late Late Toy Show, Ryan wrote: “We lost a very dear member of the Late Late family this weekend when Fiona Hurley passed away.”

“She was a beacon of light and kindness in a world gone mad. We will miss her so much and are thinking of her family today.”

“She loved the Toy Show and this photo captures who she was. RIP Fiona,” he added.

The news comes after Ryan revealed over €3million was donated on Friday night’s special Late Late Show, in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.

To help raise money for the charity on Daffodil Day, a host of famous faces including Shane Filan and Jedward appeared on the RTÉ show to encourage viewers to donate.

Shane opened up about losing both his parents to cancer, and revealed how the Irish Cancer Society provides support for patients and families.

Pop twins Jedward also shaved their famous quiffs, in honour of their late mum Susanna – who died following a battle with cancer in 2019.
