Ryan Tubridy has revealed the first guest set to appear on this week’s Late Late Show.
On Friday night, the Irish presenter will be joined by Foo Fighters star Dave Grohl, singer, guitarist, and primary songwriter of the band.
Speaking on his RTÉ Radio One show this morning, the 47-year-old said: “I’m actually quite excited as well, not only about today and tomorrow but on Friday night’s Late Late Show we’re turning up the fun-o-metre a little bit and bringing a bit of joy to the world.”

“On this occasion we will be talking to a guy called Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters or formerly Nirvana before them.”
“His mum is of Irish heritage, a teacher, as it happens. He was described to me as one of the most lovely people in showbiz.”
“We’ve got a really busy, fun Late Late coming up for you this Friday night and I’m excited about that,” Ryan admitted.
The full line-up for the popular chat show will be released later on in the week.
