Rumours are rife that Laura Whitmore is set to REPLACE Amandra Byram on DWTS

Laura Whitmore is strongly tipped to replace Amanda Byram on Dancing With The Stars, after her show was axed by ITV.

The Bray native fronted the first series of ITV’s Survival Of The Fittest, but unfortunately the show failed to impress viewers, and it was subsequently axed by bosses.

Now that her schedule is free, it’s believed Laura has the potential to host RTÉ’s Dancing With The Stars alongside Nicky Byrne – and the TV presenter’s presence at RTÉ’s autumn launch last month has only fuelled these rumours.

An insider told the Irish Sun: “Laura was pictured next to Ryan Tubridy and Marty Morrissey in publicity shots. That was a better billing than warranted for an episode of Who Do You Think You Are? and a role in Amy Huberman’s new comedy Finding Joy.”

“Laura has the kind of warm personality Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman bring to Strictly.”

Similar to her potential co-host Nicky Byrne, Laura previously starred on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing – so she has a wealth of experience when it comes to these kind of shows.

When contacted by the newspaper, Laura’s UK agent did not respond about DWTS.
