Ireland rugby star Rob Kearney has blasted rumours he hooked up with Laura Whitmore at Electric Picnic this weekend.
The hunky sports star was left furious when an Irish paper reported he “smooched” MTV star Laura backstage at the festival.
A report in today’s Irish Mirror wrote: “Single and ready to mingle MTV star Laura was spotted enjoying a sneaky snog with rugby hero Rob.”
“The pair were smooching back stage and were later joined by Laura’s pal, RTE presenter Eoghan McDermott.”

But Rob hit back today, writing on Twitter: “Inaccurate and totally untrue article you’ve written. As a result I’ll never do another sports interview with your paper!”
Apparently a source told the paper Laura and Rob were looking cosy.
“Rob looked very keen and made a beeline for Laura. She was joking and flirting, ‘Who is this guy? He keeps following me around’.”
Rob is known for being very private about his personal life, while Laura has had multiple public romances.

After dating The Coronas frontman Danny O’Reilly, Laura has been linked to singers Miles Kane and Paolo Nutini.
The Bray native was also forced to deny she had “swapped numbers” with Hollywood A-lister Bradley Cooper.
Despite denying any romance rumours Rob and Laura have been quite playfully on Twitter. Just recently the rugby star nominated Laura for the ice bucket challenge.
