TV star Brian Ormond has admitted he fears his career is over after it emerged he met up with a criminal in a parking lot.
The National Lottery presenter, who is married to Pippa O’Connor, insisted he didn’t swindle an old lady out of €40,000 as had been claimed.
He said he hadn’t slept a wink since it was reported on Sunday he met up with criminal-turned-debt-collector Martin ‘The Viper’ Foley.

But Brian, who said it was a “career-ending story” for him, has vowed to have his name cleared by solicitor Gerald Kean.
He said: “I would hate anyone to believe that I am capable of swindling an old lady out of her money. This is not true.”
And Brian insisted the only reason he met up with The Viper, who runs a legitimate debt collection business, was to stop him ruining his work.

It had been claimed the RTE star owed money to a friend after an “oil deal” went bad.
“I had no choice but to meet The Viper because I didn’t want him showing up at RTE, or at a National lottery function, and he wouldn’t talk to me over the phone,” he told the Irish Sun.
“I have never given the Viper a penny. No money has ever changed from my hand into his, and neither have I entered into any monthly payment agreement with him.
“There is no woman. There is no oil deal. I have never heard of an oil deal.”
