RTE star Aengus Mac Grianna has told how he is “getting really, really excited now” about his wedding this weekend.
But the newsreader – who is marrying llama farmer Terry Gill – said he would “doubt very much” that Montrose’s news bulletins will cover the Sunday nuptials.
And the Celebrity Masterchef star, 49, admitted that he is becoming the nervous one ahead of the big day – compared to “calm and cool” Terry.
“Terry is very calm and cool, far more than myself in personal circumstances,” he said. “But I know he’s equally as excited. But he’s in work today, so that’s kept him focused.”

And Aengus told the Ray D’Arcy show that their wedding could have come earlier – but he refused to ask Terry for his hand in marriage.
“Given that it was two blokes, I said okay, ‘Just so there’s no confusion, you can ask me’,” he said.
“We had discussed where it was all going – and we knew that is what we would do – but in terms of the actual moment that was the plan: ‘You ask me’.”

Then Aengus – who will be walked down the aisle by Anne Doyle – said they will then be jetting to London to make it official after their wedding in Ballymagarvery village in Co Meath.
“Our wedding on Sunday will be a humanist wedding, there won’t be any legal basis to that,” he explained.
“We will get married then in the registry office in London. That will be full marriage.”
