Maia Dunphy has admitted she’s still enjoying a few drinks, even though she’s four months pregnant.
The RTE documentary maker often researches women’s relationship to alcohol as well as fad diets and self-image, and admitted she is perfectly safe to enjoy some drinks.
Maia, 38, just completely ‘dry January’ but admitted she’s ready to enjoy some alcohol.
“I’ve done my research and a few units a week is fine,” she insisted.
“I had a glass of champagne on Christmas Day and a New Year’s Eve and I’ll have one tonight.”

Speaking on the Late Late Show Maia said she is excited to become a mother for the first time, and revealed she’s due in July.
“I just look like I haven’t stopped eating since Christmas I’ve got over the fear, I was terrified about the life changing stuff that you’ll never sleep again and your life’s over.
“I’m four months now and I haven’t been sick or anything,” she said.
