Roz Purcell poses with no makeup or photoshop for empowering magazine cover

Roz Purcell has posed for without makeup or the use of photoshop – and she looks incredible.

The blogger and author was naturally photographed for Irish Country Magazine.

Sharing photos from the shoot on her Instagram embracing her natural features, she wrote: “Hi stretch marks. Hi freckles. Hi there baldy eye. Hello to real magazines!”

The Irish beauty admitted that she was anxious before posing for the shoot, she wrote: “I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little nervous on the shoot day itself and today- the night before it’s out.”

Hi stretch marks Hi freckles Hi there baldy eye???? Hello to real magazines! I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little nervous on the shoot day itself and today- the night before it’s out. BUT then I remember maybe if there were more magazines like this growing up I wouldn’t have hated my freckles so much or hid my stretch marks or wish I had someone else’s skin. Maybe I would have embraced it all a little more not put myself down for my flaws and realised imperfections are totally normal and are US. Really happy to be apart of this cover & story by @irishcountrymag No Make Up No photoshop ( check out stories for the cover!) Also go grab the magazine for the whole shoot ????The best part of the day was @cloochy Coming over pinching my lips and cheeks cause I was turning blue with the cold ????????????

Roz insisted that these ‘real magazines’ should be embraced, she wrote: “BUT then I remember maybe if there were more magazines like this growing up I wouldn’t have hated my freckles so much or hid my stretch marks or wish I had someone else’s skin.”

“Maybe I would have embraced it all a little more not put myself down for my flaws and realised imperfections are totally normal and are US.”

Speaking to the publication Roz said she was intimidated about going completely makeup-up free.

“When you asked me to do a makeup-free shoot I was like yes, amazing,” she said.

“So I was all up for it but then the day before the shoot I thought to myself, ‘oh my God, I’m actually doing a shoot for a magazine with no makeup on and I’m not allowed to do anything – I don’t even have the safety of having a big fancy blow dry!”
