Rosanna Davison urges followers to abide by COVID-19 restrictions – as she nears due date

Rosanna Davison has urged her followers to abide by COVID-19 restrictions, as she nears her due date.

From midnight tonight, Ireland will enter into Level 5 coronavirus restrictions for six weeks, in a bid to tackle the growing case numbers.

As the country prepares for the new changes, Rosanna has also been preparing for a massive personal change, as she is expecting “miracle” twins next month.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the model mum urged her followers to stick together and follow the government guidelines, writing: “Apart from going to my scans, the next few weeks until due date are going to be all about getting cosy at home with tea, lighting the fire and putting the feet up.”

“This second lockdown is going to be challenging for so many and my heart goes out to everyone badly affected by the new restrictions.

“But if we all do our very best to follow the guidelines and play our part like we did earlier this year, then we can hopefully look forward to some kind of normality by Christmas and the chance to spend time with our loved ones again ❤️

She added: “We’re still all in this together ☘️ Be kind to yourself and #staysafe x”.

Last week, the former Miss World admitted she’s worried her family won’t be able to meet her “miracle twins” due to the restrictions.Speaking to the Irish Mirror, Rosanna said: “I’m just really hoping things improve soon and the whole family can meet our babies after they’re born.”

“Meeting my two new sons is what I’m most excited for, and all of those gorgeous newborn snuggles,” she added.

“It’s hard to know what to expect from Christmas this year, but we’ll have the best gift of all at home with us.”

Rosanna and her husband Wes Quirke welcomed their first child Sophia last year, opting for the surrogacy route following previous pregnancy difficulties.

After announcing her pregnancy in July, Rosanna described the twins as a “miracle”.

She wrote: “I was told that I would probably never be able to carry my own baby due to a suspected immune system dysfunction, which numerous different medical treatments failed to rectify. So for this to just happen naturally, and to have twins too by complete chance, is an absolute dream come true for us ❤️

“Fertility miracles may take some time, but they really can happen in the most unexpected and magical ways. As always, sending so much love to those of you still on your baby journey. Never give up hope,” she added.
