Rosanna Davison set to release book about her journey to motherhood

Rosanna Davison is set to release a book about her journey to motherhood.

According to the Irish Sun, the former Miss World has signed a deal with Gill Publishing to write a book about her fertility struggles.

The model suffered 14 miscarriages before she decided to look into surrogacy with her husband Wes Quirke.

After years of waiting, the couple finally became parents when they welcomed their daughter Sophia via gestational surrogate in November 2019.

Just a few months later, Rosanna experienced a fertility miracle, as she fell pregnant with twins during the first coronavirus lockdown.

The 36-year-old went on to give birth to identical twin boys, named Oscar and Hugo, in November 2020.

Speaking about Rosanna’s upcoming book, her famous father Chris de Burgh said: “I’m sure you know a number of women who are reluctant to talk about miscarriages but it does happen and that’s what makes Rosanna’s story so uplifting.”

“I think Rosanna’s book will help a lot of people.”

“I think just about everybody knows Rosanna background in terms of being a mother, she spoke about it in a very personal way about her heartbreak and the journey to surrogacy, including the 14 miscarriages she had,” he continued.

“One would be devastating for a woman but 14. I don’t know how Rosanna did it. She is a remarkable young woman for what she has been through.”

“We were absolutely thrilled when Sophia came home, a year ago to the day. Now these twins. This is a miracle. I think the whole thing is extraordinary,” he added.
