Rosanna Davison reveals she’s been training ‘three times a week’ during pregnancy

Rosanna Davison has revealed she’s been training “three times a week” during her pregnancy.

The 36-year-old is expecting miracle twins in November, after welcoming her first child Sophia via gestational surrogate last year.

Speaking to the Irish Mirror about how she’s managing a twin pregnancy, Rosanna said she’s been working with a trainer every week.

She said: “In terms of pregnancy exercise, I’ve been going to a trainer called Jessie Kavanagh in her training studio called Inform Fitness.”

“I go to her three times a week for prenatal training and we just do very safe exercises designed for pregnancy.”

“It’s helping me to feel strong so come my due date, hopefully it will help with the recovery as well,” she continued.  “I’ve also been swimming three times a week and I’ve found that great for easing aches and pains.”

“I feel it in my back after a long day on my feet or if I’ve been carrying Sophia around all day myself, my back gets sore at the end of the day.”

“I’m going to start a few pregnancy massages soon so I hope that will help too,” Rosanna said. “I’m keeping exercise gentle, a walk too with the pram is great. I’m feeling well stretched and feeling strong as much as possible.”

As for her pregnancy diet, Rosanna said: “I’m eating more or less the way I did before pregnancy. I am finding I’m getting full, I can’t manage big meals anymore so I’m just grazing throughout the day, little and often and eating nutritious foods.”

“I’m taking all my supplements, being particularly careful about taking iron, calcium, vitamin D, all the nutrients you need in pregnancy but then I’m adding a little bit more as I’m carrying twins.”

“All my bloods look good, no sign of anaemia, so what I’m doing is all good for the boys to grow well.

“I’m being careful about the choices I’m making with my eating, since the first trimester I haven’t had any major cravings. I’m still eating a lot of fruit as it’s easy to digest.”

The former Miss World also said she plans to breastfeed her twin boys.

“In terms of breastfeeding I do want to give it a go, it all depends on how well I can do it and how well I can feed two babies,” she explained.

“I’m very much in favour of breastfeeding and it’s the best approach for babies but it all depends on how effectively I can do it but I’ll give it a go.”

“Ultimately I feel it’s best to do what’s right for you and your babies. A fed baby is a happy baby. Once they’re getting enough food, that’s the main thing,” she added.
