Rooney Mara has revealed she was intimated to be working with “incredible Irish actors” for her upcoming movie The Secret Scriptures.
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo star worked alongside Aidan Turner, Jack Reynor and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor for the big screen adaptation of Sebastian Barry’s novel.
“There were so many incredible Irish actors on the film and it was a little intimidating especially as it’s kind of a difficult accent to do,” she admitted.

The A-list actress has previously worked with a stream of Hollywood’s finest including Cate Blanchett, Joaquin Phoenix and Channing Tatum.
“Having all these brilliant Irish actors was a little intimidating to do the accent around them at first, but they’re all so lovely and generous and sweet,” she told RTE Ten.
The Carol actress admitted she adored working with Irish director Jim Sheridan while filming the upcoming flick in Dublin and Kilkenny.
“He’s just mad as a hatter, I love him, it was a really fun experience.” she added.
