Ronan Keating reveals how he really FEELS about Louis Walsh following ‘nasty comments’

Ronan Keating has revealed how he really FEELS about Louis Walsh following “nasty comments” he made on Big Brother.

The pair famously fell out, after Ronan “fired” Louis as his manager because he felt he received no support from the 72-year-old.

On the latest episode of his podcast, Nicky Byrne spoke to Ronan about his relationship with Louis.

Ronan said of Louis: “He would say to all the other lads ‘Ronan is great’ but as soon as we were no longer working together, I was the other end of that.”

“It was only in the press, it wasn’t to my face or the other guys, trying to chip away at my person.”

“it was tough at times, it was only in Ireland because nobody gave a shite about him outside of Ireland.”

“I went from selling The Point to not being able to sell out Vicar Street because of what he did, he managed to manipulate the press to then allow people think a certain way about me.”

“Louis is not a manager, he is a promoter, he is an incredible promoter, he promoted Boyzone.”

When asked by Nicky, what he would say to Louis Walsh if given the opportunity, Ronan said: “I don’t have anything to say to him in the sense, I know why he said what he said, he was hurt.”

“He was hurt because we were very close, probably the closest; he was a father figure to me,” Ronan confessed.

“But I kept saying, Louis I need more support, I need help, multiple times I would say it to him, and it was falling on deaf ears.”

“But to do what he did was cold, he didn’t need to, I didn’t bad mouth him, I never said a bad word about Louis.”

When asked if he ever felt like ringing him up, Ronan confessed: “I felt like battering him, I thought if I saw him I would hurt him, that’s what it drove me to.”

“I wouldn’t know what I’d say to him, I don’t know what I could say to him, he cant fix it, he never said sorry for it.”

Nicky previously interviewed Louis for his podcast and confronted him over his “nasty” comments about Ronan Keating.

Nicky asked Louis if he still had a soft spot “in your heart for Ronan Keating?”

“I think he’s a great hustler, as an artist or as a person?”

“As an artist, he’s good, very ambitious, and there’s nothing he won’t do, radio, TV, or acting.”

“He will do it, and I love that about him, but he should just be him; he should just sing a certain type of song.”

Nicky confessed he believed Louis was still hurt by Ronan and vice versa: “I hope you don’t mind me saying this, I think you’re still hurt, and I think he is still hurt.”

Louis immediately refuted this claim: “No, over it, honestly, life’s too short; I moved on a long time ago.”

Nicky asked Louis whether he would answer the phone if Ronan called him, but Louis quickly said he wouldn’t because “he’s too proud.”

However, Louis stated if Ronan rang, he would answer: “I’ve nothing against him, but he’d have to call me.”

The 71-year-old attracted plenty of headlines during his time on Celebrity Big Brother in March, thanks to his unfiltered comments and opinions on acts he’s represented in the past.

As well as calling Ronan a “p***k”, he also branded his former act Jedward “vile”.

Appearing on ITV’s This Morning after he left the Big Brother house, Louis expressed regret over his mean comments.

When asked if he forgot he was being filmed sometimes, he confessed: “A little bit, I wasn’t being malicious about it. I was just kind of telling people what they’re really like.

“You know, I wasn’t being malicious. Nobody is perfect and I have worked with people that I’ve said things about that I kind of regret. I do regret that, especially on national (television) but that’s me. I’m very outspoken.”
