Rod Stewart has been spotted in Dublin, ahead of his appearance on The Late Late Show this Friday.

During his trip to Ireland, the British singer visited the grave of Grace Gifford-Plunket, the wife of 1916 leader Joseph Plunkett, at the Glasnevin Cemetery.

Rod posed for a photo by her grave, and the image was shared by the Dublin South 1916 Centenary Committee on Facebook.

They wrote: “Rod Stewart standing at the grave of Grace Gifford-Plunkett today in Glasnevin Cemetery.”

“He has recorded a version of the Irish love song ‘Grace’ which tells the story of Grace marrying 1916 leader Joseph Plunkett the night before his execution.”

The star was in town this week to pre-record a special interview with Late Late Show host Ryan Tubridy.
