Rob Lipsett reveals why he didn’t ‘connect’ with any of the girls on Love Island

Rob Lipsett has officially left the Love Island villa.

In scenes that will air on 3e tonight, the Irish influencer lost his place on the island as he failed to strike up a romance with any of the girls.

Although Rob only appeared on the show for a few days, the YouTube star has “no regrets” about going on the ITV show.

“I’m a real glass half full type of guy. I went in there, I laughed so much, I met some amazing people, I ticked going on reality TV off my bucket list. I had an amazing experience so it’s a win-win!” he told The Mirror.

“We went into the villa and straight away me and all the guys were like best friends. We’re already planning our Dublin reunion in a few weeks’ time and that is no joke.

“When we went to meet the girls they were so welcoming, there was no awkwardness, we all got on straight away. That group we had was so nice it was such a laugh. I clicked well with Montana as I think we are similar people.

“[I have] No regrets. I spoke to everyone and unfortunately I just didn’t feel that head over heels personal connection with anyone and that’s no one’s fault.

“I thought Tyla was my type, very tanned with dark hair but unfortunately she didn’t have a choice in the recoupling,” he said.

When asked if he thinks anyone is playing a game, Rob said, “I think all the guys that I went in with who coupled up are all very, very genuine.”

“Before we even went in, Craig had such a thing for Camilla and then Alex and Montana genuinely get along well. I don’t think anyone is playing a game.”

The fitness fanatic is now rooting for Alex and Montana to win the show.

“Alex and Montana could go all the way and win it, they have the look, they are two great looking people. I got on really well with Montana even if it was just as a friend. I think she’s cool and Alex was one of the guys I got on best with,” he said.

And finally, when asked if he had to put a bet on a couple being engaged by this time next year, Rob said, “Marcel and Gabby – they were the mum and dad of the group.”
