Rob Kearney and his fiancée Jess Redden have put their wedding plans on ice, following the death of her beloved father, Brian.
Last month, the fitness influencer announced the death of her dad on Instagram in a heartbreaking post.
Speaking on The Late Late Show, Rob said: “So, we had provisionally booked for next June, but then with Covid, things were sort of put on hold a little bit.”
“And unfortunately Jess lost her dad last month, so it’s taken a little bit of a back seat as you can imagine.”
Rob continued: “But we’re still both very excited, and once she’s ready to face the emotions that a wedding will bring with it, we’ll get it done.”
“It’s a difficult time, and you feel sorry for people trying to organise weddings now. So it’ll happen in due course, like I said when she feels ready.”
The couple are set to move to Australia after Christmas, as the rugby player has signed a new contract with Australian club Western Force.

Speaking about their move, Rob said he was “excited” but a “little bit apprehensive given the world of Covid”.
“It just seemed like too good an opportunity to turn down,” he confessed.
“It’s a really nice opportunity to get away and try something different, and it’s only for six months.”
