Rihanna is being sued for defamation by her former Irish head of security.
The Rude Boy singer is accused of sending Geoffrey Keating “untrue” and “nauseatingly offensive” statements in an email to him and his partner.
The US sensation is also alleged to have made the same statements in a phone call to the 36-year-old’s sister.
Sued: Rihanna is being accused of defamation
Keating is being represented by celebrity solicitor Gerald Kean, who went to court to get permission to serve legal documents on Rihanna in America.
Kean said: “We’re taking this battle very seriously. We are satisfied that the Irish Courts will see justice at the end of the day.”
Keating served as head of security for Rihanna while she was on tour between October 2012 and July 2013.
The Dubliner – who now works as a psychic – claims the remarks have hurt his reputation and his business.
Keating is currently charging €55 for half an hour of Meadiumship Reading, and proclaims to be a “psychic to the stars” including model Pippa O’Connor.
