A Dublin social media star has come under fire after a “baked brunch” she hosted in a Dublin bar went viral.
The Instagram model and dancer, who boasts over 69k followers on her Instagram page, shared the event with her followers through her Instagram stories.
She was joined by a large group of pals in Dublin bar Berlin, based on Dame Street. Tickets for the event had been linked in her Instagram bio.
More pics from @Berlin_D2 of staff not wearing their face coverings correctly and people clearly not arsed with social distancing in cramped corners. So disrespectful to those of us that make an effort and all the doctors &nurses working their asses off. pic.twitter.com/KsGMEuBEFt

While their tables were outlined with black and yellow tape to keep punters socially distanced, videos later surfaced of party goers dancing together, while bar staff were seen pouring shots down the throats of the attendees, sharing the bottle with multiple people.
The videos quickly went viral on social media, with many in the pub industry criticising the bar for allowing the party in the first place.
Many even demanded that the pub be closed down by Gardaí.
A friend of mine was passing by @Berlin_D2 on Dame St around 2pm today and said “It was hopping inside!” Surely a slap in face to the #SupportNotSympathy campaign launched earlier by pubs around the country. https://t.co/w4kRMCn1xb

Just when pubs all over the country came together yesterday to do a very civilized protest you then have these eejits go and try ruin it on everyone. Berlin D2 on Dame Lane needs to be closed down after this carry on. https://t.co/j69TIhe6pe

I wouldn’t wish it on any premises to have their licence revoked, this fucking bar in Dame Lane tho.@gardainfo you need to shut down @Berlin_D2 fast rather than supervising evictions during a pandemic. #COVID19irelandpic.twitter.com/EwvZab2pdw

Giving everyone a shot into their mouth from the same bottle the day there are 200 new cases. Cool thanks for that , can’t wait for the next lockdown ???? https://t.co/18LOgMGJaG

This pub in Dublin hosted a party for some influencer Jess Brennan with no social distancing and loads of them drinking from the same bottle. Actual imbeciles. https://t.co/ktt8UtgHko

Goss.ie has contacted Jess for comment.
Former Irish Health Minister Simon Harris also weighed in on the incident, saying it was a “middle finger” to all the people working to follow government guidelines during the pandemic.
A right kick in the gut & middle finger to everyone in our country who has worked so hard & sacrificed so much, to everyone who has lost a loved one or been sick with #Covid19, to every frontline worker and to every responsible business owner who have suffered so much. Shameful https://t.co/g16bwoEn16
