Pierce Brosnan has revealed that the cast of Mamma Mia! have started rehearsals for the much-anticipated sequel.
The Irish actor was joined by returning cast mates Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Colin Firth and Dominic Cooper for rehearsals in London.
The Abba musical, which was released in 2008, went down a hit with audiences – and has been noted as one of Ireland’s  Top 10 big screen favourites.
Taking to Instagram, Pierce posted a picture of himself and Meryl, writing, “Back in London Town for rehearsals … summer of 2017 … ‘Mamma Mia’ … here we go again!!”
Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! is set to go back and forth through time, and a host of new stars will play younger versions of the well-known characters.
Pierce also posted a picture with ABBA member Ben Anderson, who is composing the musical once again.
“Never thought his would happen again but, here I was last night once more, with the gracious and brilliant Mr Benny Anderson …ABBA… recording at Air Studios for the next …’Here we go again, Mamma Mia’ movie. Magic.”
Filming is expected to begin in Croatia later this year.
