Picture This to headline New Year’s Festival Countdown Concert

Picture This have been announced as the headline act for the New Year’s Festival Countdown Concert.

The gig will take place from Dublin Castle on December 31, with Lyra and Ryan Sheridan also taking to the stage on the night.

Sharing the exciting news via Instagram on Monday morning, the Irish band wrote: “Delighted to announce that we are playing on New Years Eve in Dublin Castle!!! This will be our first headline show in Dublin since 2019!!”

Tickets go on sale on ticketmaster.ie this Friday, October 29 at 9am from €37.90.

Alison Gilliland, Lord Mayor of Dublin, said: “This is the 10th year of the New Year’s Festival Dublin. It gets bigger and better every time and we hope this year will be no different. There really is something for everyone this New Year’s, so come on into town and bring the family.”

“As we leave behind 2021 there is real optimism now that hopefully we can all look forward to a better year ahead. After a pretty quiet New Year’s last year, let’s ring in 2022 in style!”

Lyra will also be performing on the night
