It looks like Aidan Turner has returned to his homeland for Christmas, as he was spotted shopping on Dublin’s Grafton Street yesterday.
The Irish heartthrob is taking a break from the set of BBC’s Poldark, which is filmed in Cornwall, as he jetted home to spend the festive season with his family.
The 34-year-old cut a handsome figure in a sophisticated camel coat, which he paired with tweed-patterned grey trousers, and polished black shoes.
One thing fans will notice is that his famous locks are shorter than his usual ‘do on Poldark.
Aidan’s gearing up for a busy year, as he’s set to make his West End debut in a revival of Martin McDonagh’s The Lieutenant of Inishmore next year.
The Clondalkin native will play Mad Padraic, a terrorist deemed too violent to be a member of the IRA, in the rarely revived 2001 play.
Speaking to the Daily Mail about his new role, Aidan said, “I think people will be surprised. It’s the furthest I can get from Ross Poldark that I can possibly imagine…”
“Theatre was it for me, that’s all I really wanted to do. The TV and film stuff got in the way slightly.”
