Pics: Michael Flatley 'thrilled' as he debuts his FINAL ever show

These are the exciting scenes from Michael Flatley’s final ever show before he retires from dancing.

The Lord of the Dance was given a standing ovation at the world premiere of new show, Lord of the Dance – Dangerous Games.

The Cork star performed the two main dance routines of the show – proving age doesn’t matter when it comes to wowing an audience.

He was joined by Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle who belted out the musical numbers – her return to performing since giving birth.

But the 55-year-old said while he was “absolutely thrilled” with the reaction at the London Palladium he is now thinking about home.

The Chicago-born super-hoofer will be bringing it all back to the O2 on March 27 with his family watching – after first performing in the Point more than two decades ago.

He said: “Dance has been very good to me which is what makes it so hard to say goodbye to it all.

“Some dancers don’t get to perform beyond their 30s which is what makes me feel so blessed.

“But, please God, it will be a dream come true for me to have three generations of Flatley in the O2 for my final Irish performance.”

But Flatley insisted that as much as he wants to go on – he told the Herald that he is too battered to continue, or even perform a whole show.

“In my mind, I can keep on dancing forever but this old body of mine has been bruised and battered from all those years of dancing,” he said.

“I don’t think I could attempt to dance an entire show. But the lure of this new show was just too much and I just had to be involved.

“The two big final numbers were all mine. But they will be my last dance performances in Ireland next March. That will be it for me.”
