The Dublin Dance Festival 2018 opened with a phenomenal evening at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre this week, with the English National Ballet in Akram Khan’s Giselle.
Khan’s breath-taking re-imagining of this classic was performed by a cast of 40 dancers under the company’s Artistic Director Tamara Rojo, and accompanied by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra.
Spotted at the opening night were Cecelia Ahern, Gail Kaneswaran, Julian Benson as well as Rob Kenny,Ciara O Doherty and Anne Maher from Ballet Ireland
Giselle runs at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre until Sunday 6th May.
