PIC: Jennifer Zamparelli finally brought 80-year-old Tom Grealy to see Kasabian last night

So cute!

Earlier this year, Tom Grealy sent a hilarious letter to The Irish Times about the first text he ever received.

The 80-year-old accountant from Galway had never received a text message before, until he was sent one by Three about a Kasabian concert back in September.

In the letter to the Irish Times, he wrote, “Sir, – I have often wondered how I have managed for most of my 80 years without receiving text messages. I have just received one from Three telling me that Kasabian will be at the 3Arena in Dublin in November. I can’t wait.”

Well, after Tom’s letter went public, RTÉ 2FM’s Jennifer Zamparelli organised to take him to the gig – and they finally got to go last night.

The Breakfast Republic host brought Tom and his two daughters Clodagh and Eimear to the gig in the 3Arena, and they had drinks in the Kaleidoscope bar, before Tom even got backstage AND on the actual stage before the gig.

Tom even made it to the after party, but reassured Jen that he “didn’t do much damage at it” when speaking on Breakfast Republic this morning.

So cute!
