With the nation glued to the vote counting for the 8th amendment referendum and emotions running high, Dobbo’s familiar face seems to be providing comfort for many viewers.

The broadcaster stepped away from his Six One co-anchor role last October after holding the job since 1996.
He joined the Morning Ireland team within RTÉ.
Official results for the referendum are expected at approximately 4pm but exit polls and tallying have indicated the Yes vote will win.
