Penny Dreadful has been AXED after three seasons.
The psychological thriller series, which starred Josh Hartnett and Eva Green, has come to a disappointing end as the series’ creator John Logan announced the news on Twitter.
“We knew where it was going and how we wanted to end it. It seemed to be the only place it could end,” he said in a video posted online.

The drama was largely filmed in Dublin, which offered many jobs to people within the Irish TV and film industry.
Included in the Irish cast and crew was Yvonne Connolly’s other half John Conroy, who was the Director of Photography for the series.
Penny Dreadful also starred Billie Piper, Rory Kinnear and Irish actress Sarah Greene.
