Paul Galvin: 'I wont be upstaging Louise on our wedding day'

Paul Galvin has insisted that there’s no fear of him upstaging his blushing bride Louise Duffy on their wedding day.

The GAA player is known for his passion for fashion and recently teamed up with Dunnes Stores to launch his debut clothing line.

However, the 36-year-old has revealed that he’s going to be keeping things simple for his New Year’s Eve nuptials.

“It would be very hard to upstage Louise, wherever you go with her. You couldn’t upstage her,” he said.

“But we’re obviously excited about it. We’re looking forward to the day now. It’s getting closer and closer.”

Despite his strong sense of style, Paul still has yet to decide what he’ll wear on the big day.

“I’ll go probably with a black three-piece suit I think. Once it (the day) is everything that Louise wants it to be, that’s the most important thing,” he told Ireland AM.

With his new clothing line Vanguard and his marriage to Louise, it looks like the Kerry native may be moving to Dublin full time.

“You need to be based in Kerry and it looks like I’ll probably be based up these parts more so, and I think it’s just not fair,” he said of staying with the football team.

“I think last year I got the business in place with Dunnes and I felt there was a window to do something.”

“Next year, I think it will be tricky. There’s two more collections on the shelves.”
