Panti Bliss beats Rihanna in Time's 100 most influential people

Panti Bliss has been voted as one of TIME’s 100 most influential people.

Public voting for the poll closed on Thursday night with the Queen of Ireland coming in at 29th place.

The activist beat off stiff competition from music superstar Rihanna to get on the coveted list and landed just ahead of tech mogul, Elon Musk.

Taking to Facebook to confirm the news, Panti joked she wants to take former One Direction star Zayn to the iconic party.

“So voting is closed on the TIME 100 poll, and bizarrely I came in at #29 (suck it, Vladimir Putin!),” she wrote.

“That doesn’t mean I’ll actually be on their list though because that’s decided by the magazine’s editorial board, not the public, but I feel like it might at least get me an invite to the party, right?

“If it does, I’ll need a date. I’ll be taking applications. Unless Zayn decides to come with me… in which case, applications closed.”

Although Panti was placed on the public poll, we’ll just have to wait until April 21 when the magazine will reveal who made it into the magazine.
