Niamh de BrĂșn has won praise for sharing a “real” post about life as a first time mum.
The influencer welcomed a baby girl named Harper with her husband, Kilkenny hurler TJ Reid, on November 20.
Earlier this week, the Limerick native admitted she was struggling in a candid post shared on her Instagram Story.
Listing her “daily thoughts as a new mom”, Niamh questioned whether she would ever feel like herself again, and if her baby would “ever sleep through the night”.
The former Miss Kilkenny also confessed: “No matter how much prep I did, nothing can prepare you for motherhood.”
After sharing her refreshingly honest post, Niamh was inundated with supportive messages from her followers who said they could relate to everything she was feeling.
She later shared screenshots of the DMs she received from other parents, alongside the caption: “For the next time youâre feeling overwhelmed đ Youâre not alone in your feelings and itâs completely normal đđ»đ¶đŒ We got this đȘđ»đ.”
In the comment section, Niamh’s followers praised her for normalising the postpartum stretch.
