Niall Horan reveals he ‘wouldn’t want to force’ One Direction bandmates into a reunion

Niall Horan has revealed he “wouldn’t want to force” his One Direction bandmates into a reunion.

The boyband went on an indefinite hiatus in 2015, just months after Zayn Malik dramatically left the group.

Niall, Zayn, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson have since launched their own solo careers, but fans are still holding out hope they’ll get back together someday.

Speaking on this week’s Jonathan Ross Show, Niall said he’d be “down” for a reunion, but wouldn’t do it “unless everybody was completely in”.

The Mullingar native explained: “I don’t know… no one really talks about it. Still talk to them all the time.”

“There’s a couple of little babies from them lads. Everyone’s having their own success on their own. I’m enjoying what I’m doing.”

“Of course, if everyone wanted to do it, I’d be down for it… you kind of need to all get in the same room and have the chat, but I don’t know when that would be…”

“Having the same opinion is going to be always hard. Unless everyone was completely in, I wouldn’t want to do it. I wouldn’t want to half force someone into doing it.

During the interview, Jonathan also asked if he’s Godfather to any of his bandmates’ children.

Niall replied: “Would have liked to have been. Maybe the next one!”

The 27-year-old will appear on The Jonathan Ross Show with Anne-Marie to perform their new single, Our Song.

The Jonathan Ross Show airs this Saturday at 9.30pm on ITV.

On the latest episode of the Gosscast, Alexandra Ryan and Kendra Becker talk the return of Love Island, Real Housewives, and the final season of KUWTK.

The girls also talk through some of the biggest stories of the week – including 2fm’s new breakfast show, the chaos of Eurovision, and Maura Higgins’ rumoured new love interest…

If you’re looking for the audio-only version of our chat, you can listen to the Gosscast on Spotify and iTunes too
