Niall Horan debuted his duet with country music star Maren Morris at a music industry event this week.
According to Variety, the song is called Seeing Blind, and was played to delegates and guests at the Capitol Music Group’s Capitol Congress, which took place at the Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood on Wednesday.
The Irish singer (23) told the audience that he first contacted the Grammy Award winner (27) via email to see if she would be interested in a collaboration, and she “happily accepted”.
Variety have reported that Seeing Blind “could easily find its way to formats outside of pop, has the acoustic base that Horan has made his trademark, along with an infectious chorus accentuated by Morris’ vocals”.
A release date for their duet is yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, Niall is set to return to his homeland at the end of this month, as he’ll kick off his Flicker Sessions tour with a gig at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on August 29.
