Niall Horan has admitted he was “about six pints deep” when he obtained his latest injury – blaming a boozy night for his damaged foot.
The singer took to his Instagram Stories last week, where he videoed himself wearing a medical boot – giving no explanation as to what happened.
The 26-year-old revealed the set of events that led to the injury in an Instagram Live on Monday, where he admitted he had “snapped” ligaments in his foot.
“I was running drunk and in these new streets,” he explained to his 25.1million followers.
“You can drive down them and they’re also sometimes pedestrianised – they look like they’re made to be pedestrianised.”
“They are not like a real tarmacked street, so the kerb looks the same as the actual driveable road and there was a little kerb.”
“I was about six pints deep,” he added, “I was chasing my cousin, missed the kerb and went over my ankle.”
“I snapped all the ligaments on the outside of my foot. I’ve got such ugly feet or I’d show the world how bruised it is.”
Fans of the Mullingar native took to Twitter last week to share their hilarious theories as to how he hurt his foot – along with the hashtag #ohnoniall.
One fan theorised that Niall had injured himself when he fell down from heaven, with the Slow Hands singer responding to the claim.
