Miriam O’Callaghan has brushed off criticism from radio star Hector O’hEochagain who slammed the Prime Time host for “talking s***e”.
The Today FM host slagged off the RTE star during an interview with Brendan O’Connor on The Saturday Night Show.
Asked about being perceived as an extrovert when he started out, Hector said he had calmed down in the last while.

“I’m not leaping around the place the whole time, I’m not,” he said.
“You don’t leap around the place if you’re on after the nine o’clock news on RTE One. You’re either Miriam O’Callaghan talking shite or another one trying to imitate Miriam O’Callaghan.”
However, the mother-of-eight insisted she wasn’t bothered by the axed 2FM DJ slagging her off.
Fan: Miriam loves Hector
“I love Hector, always have and always will and Prime Time and current affairs programmes aren’t everyone’s cup of tea and I totally understand what he’s saying,” she said.
“He is also a superb broadcaster and I wish him the very best,” she told The Star.
Hector didn’t hold back in the interview and revealed he was angry and upset when 2fm gave him the chop.

“Of course, you’re getting up at five in the morning and you’re giving everything to the show and I thought we were doing a good job,” he said.
“That’s radio. But radio is a vicious circle. Every couple of months you get these results called the JNLR’s and it’s like getting the Leaving Cert.
“And we were doing very well but, like, 2FM make changes and we’ve got to live with that.”
